Meet Mrs. Redick
My name is Jenni Redick and I love my career teaching students and making a positive difference in the lives of children. I am from West Monroe, Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech before moving to Round Rock and completing my education at Texas State University with a degree in elementary education and interdisciplinary studies. I am certified in Early Childhood through sixth grade and ESL and have completed several Category 1, 2, and 3 IB PYP trainings. I joined Meridian IB World Charter School in Round Rock in August 2011 as a kindergarten teacher and a member of the school's first faculty. I have worked with PK, first and second grades. I truly enjoyed getting to follow my passion at Spicewood Elementary in Round Rock ISD from 2014-2018 as a Kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher. I am blessed to be a Reed Roadrunner and have the opportunity to share my love of international-mindedness, intellectual curiosity, and acceptance of others through the Leader in Me principles. I believe that in addition to knowledge, appreciating others’ cultures, acting with integrity, and making a difference in the lives of others is critical.
I met my husband, Matt, in Texas and we have two children, Jake born in 2007, and Luke born in 2009. We share our home with our furry members which include our Pug, 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and 2 cats. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, children, and pets. I love to go to church, shop, exercise, watch University of Texas football, and go out to eat. Cheerleading is a special passion of mine as I was a member of the cheerleading squad at Louisiana Tech University and loved cheering on the Bulldogs. I have always strived to do my best in school and believe that knowledge is the key to success. I feel it is important to approach each of life's encounters with a positive attitude and a big smile on my face. I look forward to each day on my journey as a teacher and to touching the lives of students by making a difference one child at a time.
